Binary Systems, Inc. a Super Intelligence company

We keep our clients’ secrets.
Our systems keep yours.

Binary Systems has a history of working with proprietary clients who value privacy and security, as well as large retail clients. You won’t find their names on this page. That’s the point. The same discretion is built into everything we make: phone systems on your own servers, push-to-talk with no vendor cloud, and a switch that keeps your calls inside your own walls. Own the infrastructure. Keep the intelligence.

01 About Binary Systems

A short client list. On purpose.

Binary Systems has a history of working with proprietary clients who value privacy and security, as well as large retail clients. We don’t publish their names. Discretion isn’t a policy we added; it’s how we do business.

That discretion is also the product. VoxBox keeps calls, voicemail and call records on hardware you control. sX, the smart eXchange, makes every call decision inside your own switch, on your own network, and can refuse any call that doesn’t offer encryption. Quawk gives your people push-to-talk with no vendor cloud, no account and no subscription server. Nothing about your business has to leave the building unless you send it.

We are Anonymous
and your information should be too.

From the Binary Systems Clients page
  • Your name stays yours

No logo walls, no name-dropping, no client counts. Who we work for is your business.

  • Your systems stay yours

On premises, under your control, on open standards. You decide what runs and who gets access.

  • Your calls stay yours

No cloud dependency between your people. Calls and records live inside walls you choose.

02 What we do

Four disciplines. One conviction: your systems answer to you.

Communications

Private voice, from the desk phone to the wrist. VoxBox puts a complete Asterisk-based phone system on your own server. Quawk adds push-to-talk without a vendor cloud. Underneath, Binary Systems brings rare experience in both legacy TDM telephony and VoIP to architect the network.

Cybersecurity

Manage your risk. Security is designed in, not bolted on: the VoxBox installer sets up a firewall and port knocking, sX trunks can refuse any call that doesn’t offer AES encryption, and your data stays on hardware you control.

Professional services

Network design, installation, migration, training and support, with technical support and professional services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Services Support

Engineering platforms

V puts AI agents to work on Model Based Systems Engineering, keeping every requirement traceable through the V-Model and SAFe. PROTEL 2026 brings the telephone-switch language designed at Bell-Northern Research in 1975 back as a free, open toolchain.

04 How we work

You don’t rent your boardroom. Why rent your intelligence?

Discretion

We keep our clients’ secrets, and we build products that keep yours. The short client list on this page is deliberate.

Privacy

Your calls, records and requirements live on hardware you control, inside walls you choose. Who gets access is your decision, not a line in someone else’s policy.

Organizational control

You decide what runs and when it changes. A system shouldn’t be upgraded on a whim, but it should be watched very closely.

No cloud lock-in

Open and standard where it counts: Asterisk, IAX2, GPLv3. No proprietary lock-in, no semi-open trapdoor, no subscription server between you and your own system.

“Most of all, users and managers can feel confident that they are not locked into a proprietary or semi-open solution.”

05 Heritage

The original BSI, since 1977.

Born in the New Orleans area. Raised on petrochemical control and telephone networks. At home today in the Telecom Corridor. Some things you carry with you, and a little Mardi Gras never left the calendar.

  1. 1977

Binary Systems is born in Kenner, just outside New Orleans, and for a short while answers to the name Electro-Fab. The work: embedded control and communication systems for the petrochemical industry.

  2. Late 1970s

BSI’s SCADA systems use early digitized ADPCM voice to announce alarm messages over telephone networks. The name VoxBox goes back to BSI’s own voice-synthesis development system of the era.

  3. Later

Analog-to-digital long-haul transmission devices, and VAIN, an embedded AIN-based softswitch.

  4. 2007

VoxBox returns as an open, standard Asterisk PBX distribution.

  5. Today

From Richardson, Texas, in the Telecom Corridor: VoxBox, sX, VAIN, Quawk, V and PROTEL 2026. Binary Systems, a Super Intelligence company: the name describes our focus on the intelligence built into our products.
